Who is next to join the SOCIALVIEW crew?  The one and only Canadian designer JASON MATLO!  We are SUPER excited to share this interview with Jason.  He means a LOT to I Need A Social Life and is a very special part of our lives!  So, dear Jason, what are your People, Places and Things? -annatfabulous :*

PEOPLE: TOM FORD.

Jason has always admired the work and career of Tom Ford.  After seeing the documentary on Tom Ford during the Visionaries series, Jason gained a greater appreciation for his passion and dedication to his craft.  Esthetically Jason can really relate to Tom.  “He is also incredibly sexy”, Jason adds.  We think Jason can relate to Tom’s sexiness as well!

PEOPLE: BERNADETTE MATLO

We HAD to add in a bonus PEOPLE because we are also a huge fan of this fabulous lady!  Jason’s mom, Bernadette, is a HUGE inspiration in Jason’s life.  She has an excellent sense of style, I mean, just LOOK at this picture!!  We love you Bernadette!

PLACES: 230 FIFTH, NEW YORK, NY

Jason is in love with New York and his favourite spot to go is the rooftop bar at 230 5th St.  His drink?   A Manhattan.  Naturally!

THINGS: SUNDAY BRUNCH

Jason works his ass off all week, so what better reward than reconnecting with his friends over a Mimosa (hold the orange juice) on Sunday morning?  Ummm, we COULD NOT agree more!!  Another favourite Matlo treat?  Chicken and Waffles!  Mr. Matlo, get your ass down to San Francisco.  We know EXACTLY where to take you (and where the Mimosas don’t come with orange juice ;))

PEOPLE, PLACES, THINGS: Cabo San Lucas Wrap Up!

In lieu of Outfits of the Week, we have a special edition Saturday post!  Tranny Day Camp: Cabo San Lucas Edition was truly one of the most incredible trips of our lives!  The Louds, The Roommates and The Old Queens came together SEAMLESSLY, and we actually can’t believe it all happened like it did- it was PERFECT.  When it comes down to it, all you really need is a GOOD set of heels, your best TRANS and endless, ENDLESS laughter!! How could you ever be sad when you have a memory like this one?  LET’S BE HONEST.  -annatfabulous :*

PLACES: Sally’s House.

Ahhhh, Sally.  The one and only Sally!  Sally is the lovely mother of our dear tran Patty.  They are LITERALLY the same person, and it is EVERYTHING to watch them together.  Sally welcomed all of us trans with open arms into her fabulous Cabo San Lucas house.  We heard endless incredible stories, dressed up in the best of the best of loose silks, played games and drank and ate like queens!  It was the perfect way for all of us to spend our last night in Cabo together.  Thank you for having us, Sally!!  -annatfabulous :*

Ok, so.  Before we get to SALLY’S HOUSE (that’s coming up), we HAVE to explain this game.  K, so.  Everyone starts with 3 chips.  You have 3 dice.  You roll.  You’ll either get an L (left), R (Right) or C (Centre).  You pass your chips to the left, right, or centre.  Object of the game is to be the last one with chips.  Sounds simple?  It is simple.  But none of us has EVER been so DRAMATIC about playing a game in our LIVES.  This is what you call: EDGE OF YOUR SEAT drama!  -annatfabulous :*
